On the front panel of the Bernoulli drive next to the disk slot is the Bernoulli ejector button. On many models, this button stays flush with the front panel until a disk is inserted in the drive, whereupon it protrudes slightly. When depressed, the ejector button disengages the read/write head from the disk and pushes the disk partially out of the drive. The user may then manually remove the Bernoulli disk the rest of the way from the drive.
